Our Farm Market
Well, fall is rapidly approaching.  Cooler weather promises to be right around the corner.  Our pumpkin crop is doing very well and we were certainly blessed that Irene did little damage to our farm.  This year we are growing a nice variety of pumpkins and gourds, both large and small.   We have some beautiful large white pumpkins available as well as the traditional orange.

We have just recently purchased some terrific cushaws.  If you have never made a pie from them you are missing something.  They are delicious.

Our summer gardens are just about finished now.  Our fall gardens are planted with greens, beets, and turnips.  We will be carrying roughly 10 varieties of homegrown sweet potatoes soon.  I am told one of those will be purple.

The recent rains in Charlottesville have held back the apple crop.  However, we expect to carry somewhere around 11 varieties. Our plan is to hold the price this season at .99 per pound.  With apples also being available by the half bushel and bushel.
